Albert Fish is also suspected of murdering Yetta Abramowitz, aged twelve, in 1927; Mary Ellen O’Conner, aged sixteen, on Monday, February 15, 1932; and Benjamin Collings, aged seventeen, on Thursday, December 15, 1932.

On Thursday, February 6, 1930, Albert Fish married Estella Wilcox in Waterloo, New York. They divorced a week later. In May of that same year, sixty-year-old Fish was arrested for sending an obscene letter to a woman who answered one of his phoney advertisements for a maid. He was charged with a misdemeanor and sent to the Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital between 1930 and 1931 for observation and evaluation.

Perhaps the most notorious of Fish’s murders is that of ten-year-old Grace Budd.

On Friday, May 25, 1928, Grace’s older brother, Ed Budd, placed a classified ad in the Sunday edition of the New York World that read:Young man, 18, wishes position in country. Edward Budd, 406 West 15th Street.
